“It is important for all of us to appreciate where we come from and how that history has really shaped us in ways that we might not understand.”

Brett Kavanaugh – A man who knew and appreciated where he came from, and understood how it shaped his life. A life that stood as testament to hard work, and good works. A man that matriculated to be the best of his ability, to be top of his class in high school, college and law school.

He participated in sports and outside activities: teamwork at play to be a better, a more whole, integrated person in his life and others.  He volunteered to feed the homeless and the poor, and made sure he raised children of faith and conscience.

What we’ve seen the last couple of weeks is the assassination, not just of character, but an attempt to totally obscure and obliterate from memory the past life of a good man. To render worthless all that a man has worked for, annihilating achievements proclaimed through a life’s career and participation in family and community.

This process of moving this man from Judge to Justice should embarrass all members of the Senate Judiciary committee – Republican and Democrat alike. But it won’t. Republicans will do little recognizing the shortfalls, the Democrats will ignore and dismiss them.

In the fast lane of politics, it was a collision. One party’s ideals to bring a constitutionally oriented individual to bear on the decisions of the highest court in the land, and a situation they were ill-equipped to handle; a sexual allegation. An accusation that, at best if true, would be hard to administer, and at worse, if false, would open doors and wounds most would not be able to accept or withstand.

The puzzle pieces just didn’t conform – or confirm. The accuser wanted to remain anonymous, yet talked to everyone around; her state representative, the leader of the Democratic committee, the media. Word of the accusation started to spread throughout the democratic community in DC. The leader made as ambiguous announcement about delivering “something” to the FBI regarding this nomination.

The dishonesty of the leader, Diane Feinstein, was foundation for ethical questions as she sat on the letter provided her for weeks, rather than to bring it to the attention of the committee’s opposing party leadership. Her fellow party members claiming it was tough for her as there was no set-in-stone procedure for handling such a  circumstance. Well… how about talking to people and working out a solution rather than hiding it til the last possible “gotcha” moment?

The Republican leadership appeared to want a fullsteam ahead hearing and confirmation while some indicated that a pause was in order to ferret out the facts. Democrats not knowing what was afoot only wanted all of Kavanaugh’s dirty laundry on the line for everyone to see. So a detailed gathering was the plan.

A formal hearing with testimony was conceived. A hearing? A trial? A circus?

But let’s face it. This was not an equal justice for all, bring out the facts, get to the truth ordeal, but a political hit squad out to derail the Republican’s more conservative hold on the court for potentially generations. And the accuser?

Just to reiterate:

  1. She didn’t remember when it happened. What year, what month, what date.
  2. She didn’t remember where it happened. What house, what address.
  3. She didn’t remember how she got to the party and with whom.
  4. She didn’t remember how she left the party and with whom.
  5. She wasn’t sure who was there except for a couple of people named who didn’t remember such a party, or any incident with Brett Kavanaugh.
  6. She wasn’t sure of a lot of details you might remember from a horrific life altering event.

Not sure about you but for me… impossible to prosecute, tough to investigate, hard to believe such sparsely presented castigation against a long time, proven, upstanding citizen. And what. No facts? No presumption of innocence? No due process or verification of accusations? No, all dismissed from the court of public opinion for the sake of creating a colorful, poignant parade route to the pillory.

A lot of questions raised as to why people she said were there – apparently weren’t. Or, if you were in fact so traumatized by a sexual act, would you not scream out as soon as you could on your way out the door? Or alert others, at least the person who took you there, to warn them?

For an event that, supposedly, so drastically affected and altered your life, would it not be part of some discussion with current or subsequent relationships and would you not seek help as you achieved adulthood? No future boyfriend ever shared such a discussion. And not to minimize anyone’s absolutely right to suffer… it was accusation of a grope, not a rape.

She was 100% sure it was Kavanaugh that was there that day committing these acts. 100%? That’s pretty damn certain and yet so thin on supportive elements even 75%, 50%, or 20% – and in fact most not presented at all – only left for imaginary assumption.

I’m not going to “retry” this whole bizzare scenario here with the other incomplete minutia except to highlight a couple of inconsistencies that could lead one to believe that the facts weren’t remembered… because the facts never happened. At least with Brett Kavanaugh. And possibly they were facts – or ideas – created, embellished for a political gain?

While I strive for middle of the road observations, the left most times never surprises me in their tactics and maneuverings. They will do anything to win the battle – to win the day – to win the war.

Repeated twisting of facts, outright lying, factual jousting and fancied jabbing to achieve their increasingly socialist ambition is not beyond their scope. They have but one agenda – To WIN…at all costs, no matter what, or who gets in their way.

All this energy described, the manipulation and contorting of “certainties” was before Judge Kavanaugh’s final, razor edged confirmation. Liberals fell short and thankfully failed. Even after America held its breathe for an additional week of FBI background investigations – his 7th – liberals were denied any platform from which to launch credible missiles of career stagnation. Yet, in lockstep they saluted and voted no.

Judge Kavanaugh – Before and After?

From the positive side, if things continue as they have for his 28 years of judicial assignments, we should see a constitutional temperament, a centrist on many issues, a conservative on others. A man following his principals of reason and fairness, guided by the reality and dictates of a sacred document ratified June 21st, 1778.

To deliver on his life’s mission of fairness and reason, to further advance the cause of women in law and, possibly to drive the left insane, Justice Kavanaugh made history by appointing an all female law clerk staff – the first in Supreme Court history.

Some on the left will surely claim this as his self imposed penitence, seeking absolution for his sins against Dr. Ford, but in fact, as he is quoted:

A majority of my 48 law clerks over the last 12 years have been women. In my time on the bench, no federal judge — not a single one in the country — has sent more women law clerks to clerk on the Supreme Court than I have.”  ~ Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Sept, 2018

The hateful retributionist actions of the left know no boundaries. Their distaste for anything good accentuated with vial, reprehensible behaviors.

Lisa Graves wrote in her Slate column, “After the revelations of his confirmation hearings, the better question is whether he should be impeached from the federal judiciary. I do not raise that question lightly, but I am certain it must be raised.

Reps. Luis V. Gutiérrez (D-Ill.) and Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) have already floated their  balloon of desire for the possibility of impeachment. Axios recently noted that “top Democratic operatives are already talking about impeachment of Brett Kavanaugh as a 2020 campaign issue if he gets confirmed to the Supreme Court,” adding, “A well-known Democratic strategist says the ‘only question is: Who calls for it first?’”

The man’s been in his position less than 24 hours and they’re planning his funeral. A deliberate dirge of disparagement. Another attempted assassination of a worthy individual dedicated to public service, yet unjustifiably misdirected to a public hanging.

When you think of hate filled, despondent, power hungry, sour faced despites lined up singing their recalcitrant themes of demise, think Democrats. It’s their swan song of sorrow meant to lull you into compassionate concern for their collective cause.

But remember when you vote this November 6th, ANY power given these monarchs of  massacre in either the House or the Senate will evolve into years of questioning, accusations, hearings, lying, impeachment rumoring, and deny, delay destroy for our American way of life.

Oh yea.,.. that original quote at the top? From Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

And, with words of confidence…

I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.
~ Thomas Jefferson

I trust that Justice Kavanaugh’s dreams of a bright, productive, patriotic future will erase the memories of the vile, hateful past of his confirmation process; the left’s assassination attempt gone bad.
