Come on. It’s easy. You should know the answer. Male or female you have to be one or the other. You can’t be both at the same time. There is no in between, no gray area, no vast desolate wasteland overrun with “maybes” or “kindas” because you’re one or the other. It becomes a simple fact of life.
It used to be said that truth was sort of like that. It’s either true…or it isn’t true. A fact or a falsehood. Something has veracity, or is an invention of someone’s overactive inaccurate imagination. But in today’s political asylum, the inmates vacillate and so the acceptance of what is fact and what is feigned swings like a steel door in the wind; Especially to those entrenched on the battlefield of politics.
Are you telling the truth – or pregnant?
Then the question arises… when you tell the truth are you really being truthful? When you don’t tell the truth are you just wrong? Misinformed? Mistaken? Miscalculating or misconstruing? Or are you just a plain LIAR? Yes liar. The term offends some who walk that shadowy line of friendship, even complicity. The Urban Dictionary defines such a person as this:

1. someone who represents one set of facts, while knowing that a
different set of facts prevails;2. (popular) someone who having led others to believe one thing, does
a different thing; a promise-breaker;3. (colloquial) someone whose general conduct, level of reliability,
relationship with truth, and past performance leave him or her with

We should be reminded of our founder’s views on truth:
Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.

It has become requisite it seems, that every politician’s moving lips indicate a separation from truthful thoughts. And why? To catapult his popularity within a certain group? But in doing so it presupposes that his hope is that others will not recognize his honesty faux pas. Or is it to start a lie that confuses or potentially could be the basis of fact for those unaware of reality?
We’ve heard this wishful truth:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
~ Joseph Goebbels (Nazi propagandist)
What is really important is the balance of this quote by Goebbels:
“…The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
You see, America is in the midst of a “lie uncovering” itinerary. We’ve been exposed to lies for years from so many that we can’t tell who’s pregnant and who isn’t. And they are just now seeing the illumination of truth shine down like a stadium flood light on a squirrel. And, while I tend to strive to find a middle of the road position on my writing, the scale of truth is a bit light on the left side of the balance beam. We were most exposed to falsehoods by a recent president resolved to a single-minded objective of advancing his roster of socialistic deceit.
Days could be wasted writing about Obama’s lack of truthful expression but they all ring of the same vile sound. Basically lies to the American populous. For the masses, did they keep their doctor? Did they keep their plan? Did they save $2,500 a year? As he said:
“If you like your health-care plan, you can keep it”
This memorable promise by Obama backfired on him in 2013 when the Affordable Care Act went into effect and at least 2 million Americans started receiving cancellation notices.
He loved to push his disparaging racial rants saying:
“More young black men languish in prison than attend colleges and universities across America”
From a 2007 campaign claim by Obama, he was wildly off the mark. In reality, there are five times more black men enrolled in colleges and universities than young black men in federal and state prisons — and two and half times the total number incarcerated (including local jails).
He loved to play on emotions and make others the butt of responsibility for people’s problems in life; Even picking on janitors saying:
“The Capitol Hill janitors just got a pay cut”
Obama offered the image of despair at a 2013 news conference when the sequester spending cuts hit the federal budget — janitors sweeping the empty halls of the Capitol, laboring for less pay. But, he was completely wrong. Janitorial staff did not face a pay cut — and Capitol Hill administrative officials even issued a statement saying the president’s remarks were “not true.” Then the White House tried to argue that janitors at least faced a loss of overtime. That was not correct either. Some just keep digging their hole of lies.
We could go on but the point is made. America is sick of lies and deception for the sake of manipulating us. One reason,we believe, people turned to the rogue candidate of Donald Trump. They wanted an outsider, a success, an accomplished businessman rather than another ranting and raving politician to oversee their lives.
Even in this midterm year, the left is turning from truth to deception in order to hide their subversive, rebellious agenda. Dem Rep. Al Green took center stage in front of the House and called on his colleagues to impeach President Trump. Green’s 15-page resolution didn’t allege a specific crime, but it did include a bill of particulars that almost any Democrat could get excited about, citing Trump’s “record of inciting white supremacy, sexism, bigotry, hatred, xenophobia, race-baiting, and racism by demeaning, defaming, disrespecting, and disparaging women and certain minorities.”
Actually Al, all your ASSumptions are just that and are in fact, NOT requirements or a basis for impeachment. The Constitution defines impeachment at the federal level and limits impeachment to “The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States” who may be impeached and removed only for “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
For all the talk about Trump’s social transgressions, punctuated by Mad Maxine’s rants of “Impeach 45,” Democrat leaders are desperate to keep a lid on the idea of impeachment. The left through their lies are continually displaying acts of omission and commission. For party leaders, strategists, and Democrats in competitive districts, talk of impeachment only serves as a distraction. So “truth be told,” they have one agenda but don’t express it for the fear of revealing the real truth of their ways.
America deals with truth in the creation and execution of its laws. At some point we may even see that finally played out in the Clinton email fiasco, but the deception, the rhetoric for impeachment continue to peg the lie meter. Personally I want facts, for the greased rails of misleading actions only serve to make the slide into problematic areas even faster and more dangerous. Politicians should remember the words of Honest Abe:
“No man has a good enough memory to be a successful liar.”

And when it comes to ferreting out the truthful qualifications of our political vanguard, the 16th president had a golden thought, still true today.
“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

So… are you pregnant? Or ignoring that bulbous bulge laying claim to a large turkey dinner (whose time has not yet come)? Be real – be truthful and lead a better life through a meaningful, fact based discussion.
